FAMILY PLANNING AND AIDS PREVENTION: The Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT)Notes on Using the Case 1. In addition to these notes, the materials relating to the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand consist of:
(a) Learning Objectives; 2. The discussion questions are intended to help readers to focus on what are considered to be particularly important issues illustrated in the Case. However, the Case may highlight other interesting points and you are encouraged to examine, analyse and discuss these with others. 3. You should review the Objectives and Discussion Questions before turning to the Case itself. After reading the Case carefully, you should then return to the Discussion Questions and prepare your own responses to these, making notes as appropriate, before discussing the case with others. 4. Doing something oneself is the most effective method of learning. Therefore, to get the maximum benefit from the Case, you should prepare your own analysis of the Case before comparing this with points raised in the Facilitators' Notes. 5. There are no right or wrong answers to the Discussion Questions posed. The important issue is the ability to analyse the factors that are influencing the situation and the use of this analysis to draw conclusions about the future. 6. The case is intended to facilitate discussion on important organisational and programmatic issues; it is not intended to demonstrate good or bad practices, nor to evaluate the work of the organisation represented. |
