GUIDELINES FOR THE INSTRUCTOR

The guidelines (blue), for the instructor only, explain the use of the course module in the training session. They list the materials required, outline the timing and organization of the session and explain how the instructor is to prepare the training.

COURSE PAPER

The course paper (white), for distribution to the trainees, describes the various aspects of community participation in the execution of sites and services schemes. It cites examples from sites and services schemes in various parts of the world and it raises issues which have to be resolved for a successful implementation of community participation in the execution of sites and services schemes.

BIBLIOGRAPHY

For copyright reasons, it is not possible to add case studies in the form of articles of chapters from books in this module. Therefore, a bibliography (yellow) listing the titles of articles and books on sites and services projects has been added to the course paper. The instructor has to choose publications and distributes them to the trainees.
