Notes on use of eye preparations

♦ Eye drops: apply 1 drop every 2 hours until the condition is controlled then reduce frequency
♦ Eye ointment: if used alone, apply 3-4 times daily; if used with drops, apply at night only
♦ Continue treatment for 48 hours after healing
