3. Pricing mechanisms

a. The policy of pricing for locally produced drugs aims at keeping prices as low as possible at levels, which individuals or institutions can afford.

b. Price discrimination will be allowed in favour of vital and essential drugs from the national drug industries.

c. Patents policy within the National Drug Policy will be in line with existing Tanzanian laws governing patents for both processes and products.
