Treatment guidelines
Incision and drainage with daily irrigation with
2% Hydrogen peroxide
plus
Eusol.
If septic use antibiotics

Second choice |
Cloxacillin 500 mg 8 hourly for 5 days |
Periodental abscess is located in the coronal aspect of the supporting bone associated with a periodontal pocket. Such an abscess may be the result of an acute exacerbation of established chronic disease or due to direct trauma, such as the impaction of a foreign body into the gingival sulcus or lateral perforation of the root canal. |
