6.3. Generic Prescribing

All procurement and prescribing of drugs in the public sector and all prescriber training in medical, paramedical, pharmacy, veterinary and paraveterinary schools will be based on the use of generic names. The use of generic names on prescriptions will also be encouraged for the private and mission sectors.
